Obituary of Elizabeth J. Pryor

HERKIMER – Mrs. Elizabeth J. Pryor, age 94, of Herkimer, New York, widow of John E. Pryor, completed her life’s journey on November 8, 2021. She was born in Amsterdam, New York and she was the daughter of the late Robert and Irene (Benjamin) Fraser. Following her graduation from High School, at St. Joseph’s Parochial School and Wilbur H. Lynch High School, Betty continued her education at St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in that city and graduated from there as well. She was a registered nurse for many years, in Herkimer. Betty is survived by her three sons and one daughter and their families, Timothy D. Pryor, Michael K. Pryor and his wife, Glenna, Robert J. Pryor and his wife, Phyllis, and Judith E. Lasorella and her husband, Pat; grandchildren, Emily, Drew, Benjamin and his wife, Carrie, Katherine, Julianne and her significant other, Sean, Monica and her significant other, Adam and Andrea Michael and her husband, Luke; great-grandchildren, Jack, Teddy, Piper, Rylee, Molly and Madison; and several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her husband, John “Ted”; and daughter-in-law, Carol. Betty’s family wishes to express their love and appreciation to her caregivers at Hospice for their attentive care and compassion at the Siegenthaler Center. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM, at St. Francis De Sales Church, in Herkimer, on Saturday, November 20, 2021, with Father Mark Cunningham, officiating.
