Roughly 5 years ago, I was in Dominick's Deli with my Aunt Mary, and I was fortunate to run into Betty. It was so good to see her after the passage of so many years. She, my mom, and my aunt worked together as nurses in the former Herkimer Memorial Hospital. As a child, I spent a great deal of time as a patient in that hospital, and one of my most vivid memories is Betty walking through the halls singing "How Are Things in Glocca Morra" It was so comforting to a young child. Betty's was a life well lived. My deepest condolences to the entire family.

I have many fond memories working as a Candy Striper at Herkimer Hospital and then in my later years as a nurse aide at Valley Health with Betty. She was a very caring person and always good to me. My Grama Rose and her worked together for years too and my Gram thought the world of her. RIP Betty, thinking of your family at this time especially Mike, Glenna, Emily and Drew. Betty took care of me when I had my daughter in Herkimer Hospital 1977: over the years we shared many memories: when I first came to live in Ilion 1968 I was a single Mom: Betty worked for Social Services and assisted me in getting services for child care-came to my home several times to follow up making sure I was ok. It seems we kept in touch over the years and she called me when it was time to sell her home on Margaret Street: she shared many memories of her home she was leaving during that time: d she invited me to see her new apartment. Betty was a special person with a very caring heart: I always knew that if ever I needed her, she was my friend. Rest in peace, Betty. I am what I am today because Betty had faith & confidence in me, I will miss her. Louise A. Crossett

Betty and my Mom, Pauline worked together at Herkimer Memorial Hospital. Later, we would see Betty at the Folts Home, when we would visit my Aunt Stella. Betty was a very caring and lovely person. Our condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Joseph and Barbara (Golicki) Guiffre

She was at the hospital when I was born. My Mom, Jane Siegel, was a nurse and colleague with Mrs. Pryor. She was a lovely lady who will be missed.

My Condolences to the Pryor Family. I always liked to see Betty in passing, back in the day, as we shared bond!! In her later years, and when I was with Herkimer Fire Dept., I got to see her a little more often. Most of the time, she had a big smile on her face, and say, "Jimmy, is that you"? And then, she would let the cat out of the bag. ---- You see, when I was born, @ Herkimer Memorial Hospital, Betty attended to me .She always would remind me that she was the first to see my butt. We had many laughs together on that one. Rest in Peace, Friend!!!
