Hoss was one of the sweetest, gentle souls that walked the earth. He always had a beautiful smile on his face.
Going to school and eradicating with him was filled with many memories. He will be missed by many. Sending prayers and blessings to the family.

HOSS was the NICEST person I have ever met!! Because we were classmates in Frankfort High School, I told him, "You know, HOSS, WE will be friends FOREVER!!
When he told that he would attend the 50th Anniversary dinner for our class in 2016, I told him "THAT IS FANTASTIC!!" When he arrived, he filled the doorway at MINER'S TABLE, and then we knew, "HOSS IS HERE!!!"
REST IN PEACE, BUDDY!!

Richard was one of the nicest people whom I ever met. He was always pleasant and enjoyable to be around. Always jovial, he was a big man with a big heart. God bless you, and rest in peace, "Hoss."

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Richard Caldwell. Hoss was a teammate and anchor to the FS Wrestling team that won three consecutive Section 3 Championships in 64, 65 and 66 and he had the distinction of not only placing in all three Championships but also winning an individual title in 1965. As great a wrestler that he was, he was even a greater person. He always had an incredible smile and a kind word to say. He will be surely missed. Sincerely, Don Marrone

Hoss was a gentleman giant, always smiling. I remember looking out at the football practice field and seeing him flipping the 2 man sled over. My condolences to his family. JJ Sharrino

Our memories of Richard: He always wore a smile for everyone. His heart of gold. How much he loved his wife, Bette Jo. And on October 20th, I (sister-in-law Barbara) shared the same birthday with him.
Our Love & Peace to him. Barbara & Stuart
