Obituary of Harry J. Enea, III

Hard Rock Harry February 20, 1970 — May 30, 2023 Winter Garden, FL/Little Falls, NY The rock gods have called upon Harry, a devoted father, son, a thoughtful friend and a loving brother. It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Harry J. Enea, III, “Hard Rock Harry”, age 53, of Winter Garden, Florida. Harry, a well-known area DJ, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2023. He had the love, encouragement and support of his entire family at the time of his passing, following a brief illness. Harry was born on Feb. 20, 1970 in White Plains, NY, the son of Harry J. Enea Jr. (Lisa) and Sheila Marie Holleran. Harry was blessed with two cherished children, Cameron and Chris who reside at home with their mother, Kimberlee. Harry was raised in Little Falls, NY and was a proud graduate of the Little Falls High School, “Class of 1988”, where he received the title, Class Clown - a trait he carried with him long after high school and beyond Little Falls. Harry was a character with a laugh all his own! More importantly, he had the gift of positivity. Even in the worst situations, Harry could see the good - and the humor. When he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at a young age, he didn’t let the disease define him. Instead, he chose to face it with courage and bravery. He maintained his Class Clown title right up until the end, never complaining a bit about his health. Harry’s life-long passion was music. He loved every metal band there was, knew every song imaginable and was likely an original member of the Kiss Army. Harry was lucky and talented enough to make music his career. In addition to working as a disc jockey for various rock stations in the Mohawk Valley and also in Orlando, FL, he was the co-manager of Mr. C’s Music Shop in Herkimer for 17 years where he loved interacting with the customers and helping fans score their favorite concert tickets. But above music, Harry was a proud and dedicated father to his two children. He was the happiest when he was with them and held an individual bond with each of them. Throughout his life, Harry’s infectious smile, outgoing personality and vivacious laugh made him the perfect friend to many. He was genuine, compassionate and lived life fully. In addition to his children & parents, Harry is survived by his brothers (each of whom he loved very much), Kevin E. Enea (Kristy) of Frankfort, NY, Andrew M. Enea (Darcie) of E. Falmouth, MA and Daniel J. Enea of Little Falls, NY. He is also survived by his nieces, Claire, Hannah, Jenna and Norah, and Sadie, Charlotte and Hazel Enea; many aunts, uncles, cousins and step sister. Harry also leaves a host of wonderful friends, too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his cherished paternal grandparents, Lucy and Harry J. Enea and his maternal grandparents, Grace and Edward Holleran and by his nephew, Charlie Enea. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to say goodbye to Harry at calling hours which will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Mohawk Valley Funerals and Cremations, 7507 State Route 5, between Little Falls and St. Johnsville from 3-7 pm. We will celebrate Harry’s life at Rock Valley Brewery in Little Falls where we will have a live band playing his favorite tunes following the services on Saturday, at 2 pm. Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance Another heartache, another failed romance, on and on Does anybody know what we are living for? I guess I'm learning I must be warmer now I'll soon be turning, round the corner now Outside the dawn is breaking But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free The show must go on The show must go on Inside my heart is breaking My makeup may be flaking But my smile, still, stays on -Queen, The Show Must Go On
