Obituary of Charlotte Clare Guido

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Charlotte Clare Seeber Guido, a lady whose bright smile and sweet spirit touched the hearts of many. Charlotte passed away on May 6, 2023, at her home on Sea Island, Georgia, surrounded by loved ones. Born February 11, 1945, to Irving and Marie (Nellie) Lambert Seeber, Charlotte spent her early years in Mohawk, a small town in upstate NY. It was there she met her husband Bob, and the two graduated from Mohawk Central High School in 1963, 1964. Charlotte was a woman of many passions, known for her unwavering love for children, animals, baseball and gardening; her green thumb was well-known among friends and family. Her passion for literature was also legendary, as she was an avid reader of novels. Charlotte was an active volunteer in every community where she lived, which included Syracuse, New York, Bay Village, Ohio, Atlanta and Saint Simons Island, Georgia. She was involved with the Cub Scouts, the PTA, co-chairing various high school events, chaired fundraising committees for the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and The Boys and Girls Club, and served in many other roles throughout her life. Above all, Charlotte was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who cherished her family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert (Bob), her son Robert James (Jennifer) of Terrace Park, Ohio, her daughter Stephanie Zimmerman (David) of Indian Hill, Ohio, and her grandchildren, Boden, Pace, Sloane and Nash. Also by her brother, Douglas Seeber of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also by brother-in-laws, Buddy (Rita), Dan (Pam), Steve (Dina) Guido, Sister-in-law, Ruth LaPorte (Orbano). She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses who cared for Charlotte, whom Bob fondly referred to as "Charlotte's Angels". They would also like to thank the staff of the Hospice of the Golden Isles, for their exceptional care. Charlotte's kind heart, generosity and unwavering love for her family will be dearly cherished. She will be missed by all who knew her and her legacy will live on in the many lives of those she touched. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at The Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk, NY. (the church where Charlotte and Bob married) Interment will be held privately. Immediately following the Mass, a reception will be held at The Waterfront Grille, 800 Mohawk St., Herkimer, NY, 13350. On Saint Simons Island, GA, the family will receive friends and loved ones at a casual reception to celebrate and honor Charlotte, on Thursday, June 8th, 2023, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, at The Boat House, Frederica Golf Club, SSI, GA.
