Obituary of Roberto Narracci

Mr. Roberto “Robert” Narracci, age 83, a resident of the Town of Schuyler, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, March 4, 2023, at the MVHS St. Elizabeth Campus. Born in Queens on March 18, 1939, Robert was the son of the late Cosimo and Anna (Carolao) Narracci. He was raised and educated in Queens and as a young man always had an innate interest in farming. He attended Agricultural High School in Flushing. Upon graduation from high school, Robert proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, receiving his honorable discharge on April 15, 1959. In his younger years, Robert worked welding aluminum and stainless steel in an aircraft factory. He was a skilled self-employed mason for most of his career on Long Island, before he lived out his dream of becoming a farmer. He bought a 91 acre farm in Jordanville and would relocate to upstate New York, where Robert lived out the rest of his days. At one time, he shared in marriages with Barbara (Ferguson) Proctor and Ruth Overend. He is also survived by his five daughters, Linda Narracci of Ilion, Donna Tortorici and husband, Joseph, of Long Island, Karen Narracci of Hudson, NY, Barbara Narracci of Florida and Helene Narracci of New Hartford; his two sons, Cosmo Narracci of Long Island and Robert Narracci and fiancé, Misty, of Utica; his siblings, Salvatore and Elizabeth; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Bartholomew, Michael and Anthony. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Robert’s calling hours on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. His funeral service will commence on Wednesday at 6:00PM at the funeral home, immediately upon the conclusion of visitation. Interment in the family plot will take place on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 2:00PM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens, New York.
