Obituary of Judith A. "Judy" Hight

Judith A. “Judy” (Loomis) Hight, age 55, passed away on Sunday morning, December 4, 2022, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Judy’s passing occurred in the privacy and comfort of her home, surrounded by those she loved most. She was born in Ilion, on January 20, 1967. Judith is the daughter of Donna (Entwistle) Loomis and the late Merlin Loomis. She was raised and educated in Ilion. On August 25, 1989, Judith was married to the love of her life, John Hight and together they shared in a loving and devoted marriage, raising five children, for over thirty-three years. Many would remember Judy from the Mohawk Street Hannaford where she worked as an assistant front end manager and oversaw payroll. In her spare time, she loved being around her husband, children and grandchildren and nothing gave her greater joy than time spent with them. She is survived by her beloved husband, John; by her mother, Donna Loomis, of Ilion; by her five children, Kristi Hight, of Ilion, Joshua Hight and Melissa Marriott, of Frankfort, Andrew Hight and Brandon Sykes, of Little Falls, Sarah Hight and David Jones, of Mohawk and Giovanni Maldonado, of Frankfort; along with several grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Kevin (Tracy) Loomis, of Arizona; her sister, Becky (Mark) Fresco, of Ilion; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and in-laws. Judy was predeceased by her father and her brother, Harley Loomis. Upon the discretion of the family, a Celebration of Life will be held later and posted on Social Media at another time. In keeping with Judy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services at this time. Her family has entrusted her care to the Enea, Ciaccia and Applegate Funeral Directors.
