LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Ida E. Douglas, 80, passed away peacefully, at home, with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. She was born August 20, 1942, to Stephanie (Stella Yanko) and John Seymour, of Little Falls. She was educated in the Little Falls School Districts, where she later went on to receive her GED from Herkimer Boces, which she was excited to receive. In her spare time, she loved spending it with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ida also had the companion for her animals, Riley (dog) and Annabelle (cat). On September 9, 1962, in Glens Falls New York, she was married to Walter R. Douglas, Sr., where they lived their lives together with their children until his passing on February 18, 2003. Ida is survived by her four children, Richard Douglas, of whom she resided with, in Little Falls, Lorraine (Douglas) Johnson and companion, Brett Mowers, of Salisbury Center, Lisa Douglas Warn and her husband, Robert, of Little Falls and Walter Douglas Jr. and companion, Jamie, of Newville; six grandchildren, Ronald Fox, Jr., of Little Falls, Christopher Douglas (Katherine), of Herkimer, Wayne Johnson, Jr. (Kierra), of Canajoharie, Sara Brandow (Rose), of Cobleskill, Rochelle Johnson (Missy), of Salisbury Center and Kayleigh Mowers, of Salisbury Center; three great-grandchildren, of which she adored, Asher Douglas, Storm Douglas and Peter Fox. She also leaves a very dear friend and neighbor, Linda Montgomery who helped with her care. Her siblings she leaves behind are Edwin Seymour, of Utica, and Julie Jensen; brother-in-law, Gordon Douglas; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Walter Douglas, Sr.; her parents, John and Stephanie Seymour; her in-laws, Burton and Dorothy Douglas; sisters, Maryanne Murrey and Susan Parks; brothers, John Seymour, Jr. and Leon Seymour; special sisters-in-law, Jackie Seymour and Marianne Douglas; and a son-in-law, Wayne Johnson, Sr. A special thank you to the ladies at the Little Falls Dialysis, which she adored. In lieu of flowers we are asking you to bring one can of pet food or toy that will be donated to the local animal groups, as she adored animals. Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 12:30 p.m., in the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls. The family will share memories. Mrs. Douglas will then be laid to rest in the Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
