Obituary of Charles Farr

Charles Farr, age 65, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at the Foltsbrook Center in Herkimer. Born on June 20, 1956, Charles is the son of Catherine (Beams) Farr and the late Howard Farr. He was raised and educated locally and attended Frankfort schools. Charles was employed with Fermer Precision in Ilion for many years as a machinist. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and trout fisherman. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Farr of Logan, Kansas; his four children, Christopher Farr of Ilion, Jennifer Farr and husband, Danny England, of Ballinger, Texas, Patricia Farr and fiancé, Edward Garcia, of Ballinger, Texas and Thursie Hollis of Paint Rock, Texas; his eighteen grandchildren; and Nicole Rockwood, who was like a daughter to Charles. He also leaves his siblings, Howard Farr of Woodbourne, NY, Catherine Rogers of Livingston Manor, NY, Mary Cunningham of Cedarville, NY, Eleanor Conrad-Farr of Hayes, KS and Janice Smaldone of Frankfort, NY. Charles was predeceased by his father, Howard; and by his sister, Patricia Farr. In keeping with Charles’ wishes there will be no formal funeral services.
