Obituary of Paul George Kucerak, Sr.

ROME - Mr. Paul G. Kucerak, Sr., 66, of Rome, New York, passed away suddenly, on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the comfort of his home, with his family always with him. He was a native of Dewey Avenue, Herkimer, New York and had lived for many years on North 5th Ave., in Ilion. He was born in Herkimer, on September 28, 1955, the son of the late Yolanda Theresa (Yetty) and Paul Kucerak. He attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the ‘Class of 1973.’ He later attended and graduated from MVCC in Building Construction and Canton Ag & Tech, obtaining two degrees there. Paul was married on November 1, 1986, to Constance Ann Stadtmiller, a loving union. Paul served as an assistant to Civil Engineer with the New York State Department of Transportation, Albany, New York. He retired in 2018 and then volunteered at Second Chance Tools, Utica, New York. He was of the Catholic faith. Through the years, he enjoyed valuable time spent with Boy Scouts. He loved cars, gardening, drawing, painting and relaxing around the house doing little constructive jobs. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Connie; his son, Paul George Kucerak, Jr., and his wife, Krystal Kucerak and their children, Paul George Kucerak, III and Cole Bernard Kucerak, his son, Matthew Dale Kucerak and his wife, Danielle Mineo-Kucerak; his stepdaughter, Theresa Ann Kabot and her husband, Marc Kabot and their children, Samantha, Cheyenna, Grace, Marc Logan, Joshua, Lincoln, Susannah, and Nathaniel; his brothers and sisters-in-law and their children, Frank and Joanne Kucerak, of Ilion and their daughters, Elizabeth and Christina and Daniel and Diana Kucerak, of Ilion; and one sister and brother-in-law, Ann Marie and David McDougall, of Clifton Park. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Philippa Kucerak and her daughters, Felicia, Angeline, Philippa and Michalena; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Steven Kucerak, on August 31, 1998. His funeral will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., from the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, New York (Town of Frankfort), with Sr. Mary Jo Tallman, officiating. Interment will be at a later date and time convenient to the family, in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. Calling hours will be Thursday, prior to the Funeral Service, from 4 until 6 p.m., at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul's memory may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Leatherstocking Council, 1401 Genesse St., Utica, NY 13501.
