Obituary of Tracey Wayne Shaut

MOHAWK - The world has lost a beautiful soul and the world will be a little darker without your smile. Tracey Wayne Shaut, age twenty-three, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, in his home, in East Providence, Rhode Island, where he has resided for the past five years. He was born on July 10, 1998, in Little Falls Hospital, beloved son of Dennis W. Jr. and Reagan Dunham Shaut. Tracey was raised in Mohawk and was a graduate of Central Valley Academy High School, in 2016. While in high school, Tracey was active in soccer, basketball, track and drama. Tracey loved to perform for an audience, but even more the audience loved Tracey. After High School he furthered his education at Johnson and Wales College, in Providence, Rhode Island. Tracey loved Rhode Island so much that he made his home there. For the past three years he worked at the Providence Oyster Bar, in Providence. Tracey had found his true calling. He loved bartending and interacting with people. He truly knew how to put on a show for his patrons. He was loved by his co-workers, everyone who came to the bar and anyone he met. He was often requested to bartend for private parties and special events. He knew how to entertain and make people feel comfortable, but at the same time his smile and presence were truly genuine. He had an unending list of friends. These were not just acquaintances, the people Tracey met became true friends. Tracey loved to travel and he would think nothing of hopping on a plane and heading to Florida to be with some friends for a couple of days. To those who knew him, Tracey will always be remembered as a very social person. He was a kind, charismatic and a bright young man with a free spirit. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed by his family and friends. Surviving him, are his loving parents, Dennis W. and Reagan D. Shaut; a brother, Hunter Shaut, of Mohawk; his great-grandmother, Doris Brown; grandparents, Dennis W. Sr. and Rebecca Shaut, of Herkimer, Lee and Mary Dunham, of Maryland and Pam McGraw, of Florida; several aunts, uncles and many cousins. Tracey also leaves behind a special group of friends in his hometown who were like family to him. Calling hours for Tracey will be on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY.
