Obituary of Michele A. Penree

Our beloved mother, Michele Ann Penree, was lost on Sunday morning, October 10, 2021, while at her home surrounded by those closest to her. Michele was born in Ilion on February 1, 1961, a daughter of the late Donald Judson and Theresa (Collette) Larabee. Michele had all she required in this world and didn’t need a great deal; she selflessly gave to those she loved. She was a giving and caring person who left an indelible impression on others. Her unselfish ways were evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Michele was an amazing woman who so many looked up to and was the embodiment of her family who will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Her kindness was well known to those who she welcomed into her home. Everyone she came across in life was lifted by her graceful influence and love, as well as her beautiful smile and heartfelt laughter. Michele was the essence of her family and touched all of our hearts deeply with her sincere love and joy. She was always there for every one of her children and grandchildren in every single way and was one of the wisest people one could ever listen to. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and was so very proud of her growing family. Her legacy will live on through what she instilled in her loving children and grandchildren, whom she sacrificed everything for. She will be wholeheartedly missed but never forgotten. Michele is survived by her seven beloved children, Daniel and Jeana Penree, Peter and Jessica Penree, Amy and Evan Hanna, Jacob and Lisa Penree, Hank and Ashlee Penree, Andrew Penree and Alyssa Northup and Meagan and Nick Houle; by her adored grandchildren, Jayden, DJ, Daniel, Daiana, Sammy, Gia, Ava, Mason, Bo, Cedar and Oakley; and by her siblings, Debbie and Chuck Burdick, Daureen Hunt, Donna Judson, Sherry Judson, Terry Reesh and Ken Edick, Sonya Pavia, Rebecca Hatmaker, Barbara and Chuck Covey, Micheal Judson, Sr. and Kim and Brian Matthews. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends, too numerous to mention. Aside from her parents, Michele was predeceased by her sister, Darlene Judson. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Michele’s Celebration of Life service on Wednesday morning, October 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, 2222 Genesee Street, Utica, where her Funeral Mass will be offered by Rev. Joseph Salerno, Pastor. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Michele’s family; envelopes will be available at the church.
