Obituary of Myron G. Hibbard

MIDDLEVILLE – Myron G. Hibbard, age 86, formerly of Middleville, NY, passed away peacefully, on Monday, September 13, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born on March 1, 1935, in Utica, the son of Myron H. and Ellen (Jones) Hibbard. Myron graduated from West Winfield High School and was a veteran in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958. At one time, he was married to Joan Lynch. Mr. Hibbard was employed as a Press Operator, at Union Fork & Hoe Co. (later Union Tool Co.), Frankfort, for 23 years, retiring on February 28, 1997. He attended the Middleville Methodist Church and later the Frankfort Methodist Church. He was a member of the West Canada Valley American Legion, Post #1524. He was a Scout Leader in the Boy Scouts Troop in Middleville, for several years. Myron enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, fishing and hunting. He was passionate about his painting and continued to paint up to very recently. He also liked puzzles, arts and crafts. He was an avid sports fan, especially watching Baseball, Football and NASCAR. Surviving family members include his daughters, Gina French and her husband, Jeffrey, of Panama City Beach, FL and Janet Jones (Kevin Homer) with whom he resided with, in Newport NY; his son, Matthew Hibbard, of Springfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Courtney Kendall and her husband, Christopher, Alex Peruzzi, Zachary Jones and Marissa Jones; his great-grandson, Theodore Kendall; his brother, Terry Hibbard and his wife, Nancy, of Louisburg, KS; two nephews, Jason (Jill) Hibbard and Jared (Sheila) Hibbard; one niece, Jenny Hibbard; great-nephews and great-niece, Griffin, Cohen, Alexandria and Benedict; and several cousins. Also, his Grand puppy and companion, Hazel. He was predeceased by his parents. Friends and relatives are invited to a Graveside Celebration of Life and Christian Service, on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 12 noon, at the Middleville Rural Cemetery, Rt. 29 (Town of Fairfield), Middleville, NY.
