Obituary of Florence S. Rohacek

LITTLE FALLS - Florence S. Rohacek, age 93, passed away peacefully, on June 14, 2021, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, in North Carolina. Florence was born on November 22, 1927, in Forest City Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late John and Jenny (Koghovsek) Shamro. Florence was a proud graduate of Harrick High School, located in Forest City Pennsylvania. Florence moved to Little Falls after graduation where she met the love of her life and was united in marriage to Milan Rohacek, on October 9, 1948, in St. Paul’s Universalist Church, in Little Falls, New York. Prior to Milan’s passing the couple enjoyed a blessed, devoted and loving union for 57 years. Florence was a member of St. Paul’s Universalist Church, where she was a member of the church choir. Prior to her retirement, Florence was employed by Allegro Shoe Company. Florence was loved by her family and friends and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her heart of gold. Florence had a way of making you feel that you were the most important person in the room. She was truly a beautiful soul. Florence’s greatest joy was her family. Florence is survived by her son, Jeffry and his wife, Terri, of West Winfield NY; her daughter, Claudia and her husband, Robert, of North Carolina; her sister, Rose Akers, of Richmond VA; her brother, Andy Shamro (Theresa), of Forest City PA; sisters-in-law, Mildred Koziol, of Little Falls, NY and Rose Mary Shamro, of Clearwater, FL; her grandchildren, Renata (Jeffrey) Conde-Zuege, Jonathan Rohacek, Alex Rohacek, Stephen Basile, Katelyn Basile and Ashley Rohacek; great- grandchildren, Catherine and Elliot Conde; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by four sisters, Fanny, Eva, Clara and Tilly; and eight brothers, Tom, Frank, Stanley, Joe, Eddie, John, Ludwig, and Albert. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Paul’s Universalist Church, 565 Albany St., Little Falls, NY, on Saturday, July 24th, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate Florence’s life at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest following the Memorial Service, at Mt. View Memorial Gardens, 1189 Shells Bush Rd., in the Town of Little Falls.
