Obituary of John Bigg, Jr.

LITTLE FALLS - Mr. John Bigg, Jr., age 54, of Little Falls, fell asleep in death, on Saturday morning, January 5, 2019 at the Little Falls Hospital.

John was born on May 23, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late John, Sr. and Laura (Cordova) Bigg. John was raised and educated in New Windsor, NY and was a graduate of Cornwall High School. He was currently a resident of the Little Falls Garden Apartments.

John was a gentle, kind and thoughtful guy who would listen to anyone that needed an ear. He was an excellent craftsman, designing and making his own guitars. He absolutely loved music of all kinds and in his younger years he had his own band. He loved any conversation that revolved around music, his favorites being rock and especially the group Queen. One of his favorite memories was of playing music in his friend's backyard with the legend, Darryl Hall. While living in the Little Falls area, he enjoyed open mic nights at Ole Sal's Cafe & Creamery on Ann Street, where he would gather with friends on the first Saturday of every month.

John truly enjoyed the company of other people. He would regularly visit with Nick and Bonetta and would never miss an invitation to one of his friend's homes for dinner. He loved to cook, fish and play board games; and his sense of humor was second to none.

John was a Jehova's Witness and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses in Dolgeville, where he leaves many loyal friends and fellow members. He will also be missed by his many friends in the Little Falls Garden Apartments community. He is survived by his aunt, Gladys Barone of Weehawken, New Jersey.

A Memorial Talk will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 1:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses, Brockett Road, Dolgeville, NY.  DUE TO THE HIGH WINDS TODAY, THE DATE OF THIS MEMORIAL TALK HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM FEBRUARY 9, 2019 TO THE DATE ABOVE.
