Obituary of Charlotte D. Price

 

MOHAWK – Mrs. Charlotte D. (Zimmerman) Price, age 75, of Mohawk, entered the kingdom of heaven on Thursday April 5, 2018.

She was born on October 8, 1942 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Mary Ludlow and Cecil (Carl) Zimmerman. Charlotte was a graduate of Mohawk Central School, Class of 1960. On September 6, 1985 she was joined in matrimony to John M. Price, Sr. She was last employed as a Book Keeper for Costello Paving, retiring in 1995. She had been a Notary Public for Herkimer County since 1980. Charlotte was a member of the Mohawk Reformed Church actively serving on many of the committees. Through the RSVP program she had volunteered her time to the Food Pantry and to Meals on Wheels. She had tutored for the reading program at Fisher Elementary School as well as various other schools. Charlotte was an election inspector for the Town of German Flatts. She was a member of the Mohawk Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She belonged to the Red Hat Dolls of the Mohawk Valley serving as their Queen. Charlotte also volunteered her time to the Salvation Army Café. She was a member of the friends of Weller Library. Charlotte was a hard worker and was willing to help - out, wherever and whenever needed.

She is survived by her husband John, two sons, Bruce Lawrence of Texas, and Jeffery Lawrence and companion Daina of Whitesboro, a daughter Stacey Lawrence and companion Tim of Ilion, three step-sons and a step-daughter, John M. Price, Jr. of Little Falls, Ronald and Vicky Price of Richfield Springs, Robert and Luann Price of Albany, and Kim Tero and husband Ron of Herkimer. She is also survived by a brother Carl Zimmerman of Florida, and a sister-in-law, Marge Zimmerman of Tennessee, a sister-in-law, Eleanor Kutulas of Utah, a brother-in-law, George and wife Marilyn of Cedarville, a sister-in-law, Beverly Maziarz and husband Richard of Florida, a sister-in-law, Carol Price of Ilion, and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte had many grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Corrin Lawrence, Preston Isham, Deric Handley, Dakota Price, Justyn Lawrence, Adam Lawrence, Amanda Lawrence, Brianna Lawrence, Leah Lawrence, Nolan Lawrence, Seth Lawrence and Bruce Lawrence, III. Step-grandchildren, John Price, III, Taylor Price, Erica Price, Chrystal Price, Robert Price, Jr., Stacey Price, Kira, Josh and Nathanial. Great-grandchildren, all of whom she also loved dearly. She also leaves very special friends Amber Clark, Wanda Ingraham, Jackie Levy, Connie and Sharon who have always been there for her and the family. Charlotte was predeceased by her brother Don Zimmerman and two brothers-in-law, Darrell and Daniel Price of Ilion and her grandson Londale King, II. Charlotte’s wishes of cremation have been carried out.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Mohawk Reformed Church with Rev. Brian Engel officiating. Calling hours AT THE CHURCH are prior to the services, 10AM until 11AM. Interment will be held at the family’s convenience.
