Dear Shaw Family...I think that as we all age we think back to our past and about special people that touched and potentially changed our lives. Mr. Shaw was my music teacher from elementary and up through high school. His positive energy and quirky manners to engage the group will never be forgotten. From the roll call ,"I'm here" to "Bluebird, Bluebird, In and Out The Window" he made learning fun. I will always remember him.

Nancy, Theresa and family,
I am saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved Jim. We had several brief and enjoyable interactions over the many years that I have known him. Jim was always a gentleman, quite informative, and possessed a unique sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by those fortunate to know him. Please accept my sincerest sympathies and heartfelt condolences. May God bless you with peace and comfort during your time of mourning.

Condolences to the Shaw family. I had Mr Shaw for elementary music. I remember him as being a nice man. I'll never forget his "ta ta ti-ti ta" charts and "Froggy Went A-Courtin". He made music fun.

Nancy and family,
Just would like to let you know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Don and I enjoyed singing with Jim and you at the nursing homes. I always told Jim that I could just sit and listen to him play his keyboard all day. He just was so talented in music.
You both were such great friends and Jim will be greatly missed. I remember all the good times we had camping too.
Jim you will be missed.

Over the last couple years, I ran into Jim and Nancy on numerous occasions,...often at Jerry Bushey’s Rehab Facilities in St. Johnsville. He was obviously having health difficulties, but it did not ever affect his excellent sense of humor and kind personality.
Those of you that taught with Jim have already, I'm sure, entertained the words, “I’ll always remember him.” We all will do so.

Jim was always ready with one of what he called "totally tasteless" jokes. We always laughed together on their corniness. Hall duty at FPCS was always fun with Jim. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
