Obituary of Hilda C. Foti

HERKIMER - Mrs. Hilda C. Foti, age 85, a longtime Herkimer resident, passed away on Thursday evening December 12, 2013 at Folts Homes in Herkimer. She received very special care from the nurses and staff of the 1st and 4th floors during her stay there. Hilda was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 22, 1928 the daughter of the late Arthur and Flora Gregory. She was united in marriage with Vincent J. Foti on February 7, 1948 at St. Anthony's Church in Herkimer. The couple shared in a blessed union of over 54 years until the passing of Mr. Foti on May 31, 2002. Through the years Hilda had worked with Derby Sportswear, Univac, and Nichols Department Store. She had enjoyed travelling to Florida with her husband Vincent. Her heart was always with her family whom she loved so dearly. She is survived by her beloved family: daughters: Nadine Benedict and her husband Marty of Herkimer, and Denise Schlosser and her husband Charles of Boca Raton, FL; three grandchildren: Jason Foti and his wife Jennifer, Lindsey Benedict, and Danielle McMillan; three great grandchildren: Jack Foti, James Foti, and Chase Benedict; a special aunt: Marylee Tharp; a very special nephew: Darrell Gregory and his wife Raydeanna; and many nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Nicholas Foti on October 25, 2012 along with four brothers and four sisters. Her funeral service will be held on Monday evening December 16, 2013 at 8PM from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, Herkimer, NY. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours prior to the funeral service on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place in the spring in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer.
