Obituary of Ida Rotondi

Mrs. Ida Susan Rotondi, age 70, of Mohawk Street, Herkimer and formerly of Atlanta, Ga., died Sept. 29, 2002 peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 9, 1932 in Georgia, the daughter of Jordan and Alma Thomas. She was married to Albert Rotondi on Jan. 31, 1948 in Jonesboro, Ga. She was a faithful housewife of 54 years and a dedicated mother. She is survived by her husband Albert; four sons, Richard and wife Donna, James and wife Rebecca, Jason and wife Lisa, and Michael. She is also survived by two daughters, Nancy, and Sheila and her husband Mike; a daughter-in-law, Beverly; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, with a special closeness to her grandson Matthew. Services will be private. There are no calling hours. Ida's family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Hospice for their wonderful care and a special thanks to Violet Clark.
