Obituary of Raymond Becker

Raymond G. Becker, Jr., age 30, of 601 Mill Rd., St. Johnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 17, 2002. He was born October 5, 1972, in Little Falls, the son of Raymond G. and Beverly (Harlow) Becker Sr. He was educated in Canajoharie High School, class of 1991. Ray lived most of his life in the Canajoharie and St. Johnsville area. His marriage to Polly Carter took place on July 21, 1995, in Buffalo. He was last employed at Asplundh Tree Expert Co. in Albany and was a member of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Union Local No. 1249. Ray devoted his life to being a loving and caring husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his children fishing. He was a Rusty Wallace fan and an avid fan of NASCAR. Survivors include his wife, Polly; his parents, Raymond and Beverly of Dolgeville; two sons, David and Ryan Becker at home; his paternal grandmother, Elnora Becker of Fort Plain; his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Harlow of Palatine Bridge; a brother, James Becker of Dolgeville; in-laws, Patricia and Roger Carter of St. Johnsville and Terry Carter of St. Johnsville and Paula Carter of Little Falls and several aunt, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a son, Ethan R. Becker; a brother, Michael A. Becker; his paternal grandfather, Ernest Becker, and his maternal grandfather, Fred Harlow. Friends and relatives may call at the Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville on Saturday, December 21, from 5-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Finch Cemetery, town of Oppenheim.
