Obituary of Anna Helen Gray

LITTLE FALLS - Anna Helen Gray, 93, departed this life on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in Utica, after a short illness. The elder daughter of Edward and Helen (Yaniec) Wrobel, Ann was born May 16, 1929 and was a lifelong resident of Little Falls. After graduating with the Class of 1948, she met the love of her life at a local dance. Ann married Edward T. Gray, at Sacred Heart Church, on August 14, 1949. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Mary A.(Wrobel) Czernecki. Survivors include her son, Edward T. Gray, Jr., and his wife, Laurel (McDonald) Gray and their daughter, Rachel J. Gray. Ann is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Jane (Gray) Desmond and Polly (Lois) Gray; and by many nieces and nephews. Ann was a devout and active member of her Parish Church. Over the years, she served as a member of the Rosary Society and the Resurrection Committee, as a Eucharistic Minister and as a teacher in the Faith Formation Program. For most of her adult life, her favorite hobby was knitting. Arrangements are entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Parish Church, in Little Falls. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Ann’s family suggests that those who wish to do so make a donation to the Little Falls Public Library, 10 Waverly Pl., Little Falls, NY 13365, in Ann’s honor.
