LIVINGSTON, MT – Joseph Samuel Luppino, age 61, our beloved son, father, brother and friend, returned to our heavenly Father, on Friday evening, October 14th, 2022, in Albany, New York. Joe was born on June 15, 1961, in Herkimer, New York, a son to Elaine C. Luppino and the late Anthony J. Luppino. Joe exuded great pride in his beloved daughter, Dr. Jennifer M. Luppino and her partner, Drew Weibel. He leaves his treasured family, Toni and Don Andrews, Tami and Bill Walter and Matt and Kathy Luppino. Joe is predeceased by his brother, Anthony “Chip” Luppino. Joe had a lifelong passion for political activism. He encouraged many to use their voice and exercise their right to vote. Joe was a lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time in the rivers and mountains enjoying the majestic beauty that they encompassed. A lifelong naturalist, Joe was passionate about fly fishing, fly tying, cycling, mountaineering, art and photography. He loved and respected all things wild. Joe’s love of the outdoors came second to the riches he found in his family and dear friends. Joe cherished moments shared with his nieces and nephews, Isaac, AJ, Lindsey, Levi, Luke, Matt, Tricia, Kristen and Daniel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Joe’s honor to Yellowstone Forever (https://www.yellowstone.org/) or the Park County Environmental Council (https://www.pcecmt.org/) Joe will be laid to rest this week, at the Holy Cross Abbey, in Berryville, Virginia.
