Obituary of Sean Christopher Bracken

Sean Christopher Bracken, age 26, left this world all too soon when he and his beloved, Faith McFarland, were tragically taken on Sunday evening, August 21, 2022, in a motor vehicle accident. Born in Little Falls on January 18, 1996, Sean is the son of Edward and Linda Bracken and Jodean (Oldick) and Mark Duquette. He was raised and educated locally, graduating with CVA Class of 2015. For the past few years, Sean was employed with the Deli Department at Herkimer Walmart; a position which brought him much joy through his interaction with fellow employees and customers alike. Sean was blessed to find love in Faith McFarland and the couple was truly inseparable. They lived together, worked together, laughed together and even though they only had a couple of years together on this earth, they managed to fit in a lifetime of memories. It is only fitting that they left this world together; a testament to their inseparable union. Sean had an easy going demeanor and was one of the happiest guys you ever met. He was truly a friend to everyone. He held a love for sports, and was a die-hard fan of the Atlanta Braves, Jacksonville Jaguars and, of course, the Syracuse Orange. He even held season tickets to the Dome and would go to all of the games with his father and family. In his free time he was a movie buff and enjoyed gaming. He is survived by his parents, Edward and Linda Bracken of Ilion and Jodean and Mark Duquette of Newport; his brother, James Bracken of St. Johnsville; his step-siblings, Jonathan Duquette, Roy Duquette and Stephanie Duquette; and his nieces, Stephanie, Ava and Mylah. He also leaves his grandmothers, Carol Bracken of Herkimer, Denise Wheeler of Connecticut and Jean Watchers of Newport; his aunts and uncles, George and Cynthia Bracken, Patricia and Kevin McDonald, Debra Bracken, Denise Gambier and Laura Watchers; along with numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins; and his four best friends, Ken Butler, Kyle Vance, Anthony Antonucci and Dalton Crim. He was predeceased by his grandfather, George Bracken. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the combined calling hours for both Sean and Faith on Wednesday evening, August 31, 2022 from 3:00PM – 7:00PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, Herkimer, NY (315) 866-1011. Sean and Faith’s families have entrusted the care of their beloved children to Funeral Directors Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia of the Enea Family Funeral Homes.
