Obituary of Anthony J. Luppino

HERKIMER – Mr. Anthony Joseph Luppino, age 87, our beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend, returned to his heavenly Father, on Sunday morning, June 5, 2022. Tony was born on March 2, 1935, in Mohawk, New York, a son to the late Joseph and Eva (Glogowski) Luppino. Tony entered into a blessed union with his wife Elaine (Adukiewicz) of nearly 65 years. Together they raised five children. His legacy will live on with Toni Noma and fiancé Don Andrews, Anthony “Chip” Luppino, Tami and Bill Walter, Joseph Luppino and Matt and Kathy Luppino. Many of Tony’s most cherished moments were shared with his grandchildren, Isaac Noma, AJ, Lindsey, and Levi Luppino, Luke and Matt Yeager, Dr. Jennifer “Jenny” Luppino, Tricia Jantzen, Kristen Taylor and Daniel Luppino; as well as six great-grandchildren. Kept to cherish his memory are brothers, sisters and cherished friends, Mary Sherrick, John and Jane Luppino, Frank and Carole Luppino, Eva Healy, JoAnn and Bob Catalina and Rocky and Deb Luppino. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Eva; his son, Chip; his sister, Kathy Foley; and brother, Marty Luppino. Tony was a lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time in the rivers and mountains enjoying the serene beauty they encompassed. A lifelong naturalist, Tony was most passionate about fly fishing, rod building, and fly tying. He was a lover of all things wild. Tony’s love of the outdoors came second to the riches he found in his family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dad’s honor, to Yellowstone Forever, PO Box 1857, Bozeman, MT 59771-1857. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
