Obituary of Nancy Cisterna

GLOVERSVILLE - Nancy Cisterna, 48, of Gloversville, NY, passed away peacefully, on Friday, May 13, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her close friends. Nancy was born on November 16, 1973. Although the history of Nancy’s early life is unknown, she became a part of the Lexington ARC family, in March 1995, when she moved to her home in Bacon Brook. Nancy lived at her home for 26 years, where she built close relationships with the people she lived with, as well as those who took care of her, all of whom quickly became her family. Nancy made many years of memories with those she was closest with, especially the entire Bacon Brook team. Earlier this year, due to a decline in her health, Nancy moved to her home on East State Street, in Gloversville, where she lived until her passing. Nancy had an infectious smile with the darkest and warmest eyes. She loved to tease people, was always amused by the conversations going on around her and loved giving those she loved one of her big hugs. Nancy loved bracelets and loved to make them or go shopping for them. She had an extensive bracelet collection and enjoyed picking out several of them to wear each day. Nancy is also survived by her close friend, Kathleen Daudler. Those who were closest to Nancy are going to miss her immensely. She was a bright light in the eyes of those who loved her and her absence will leave a hole in everyone’s hearts. Friends of Nancy are invited to a Graveside Memorial Service in her honor. This will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the Dolgeville Cemetery, 125 West State Street, Dolgeville, NY 13329, with Rev. Michael Torres, officiating. Arrangements have been handled compassionately by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St. Johnsville, New York, Funeral Directors Harry J. Enea, Jr., Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia (518) 568-2300.
