Obituary of Theresa R. Schofield

MOHAWK – Theresa R. Schofield, age 99, of Spring St., Mohawk, passed away, on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Bassett Hospital Medical Center, Cooperstown, with her family by her side. She was born on February 25, 1923, in Waddington, NY, the daughter of William and Mary (Kennedy) Reagan. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy, Ogdensburg, at the age of 15. On May 3, 1952, Theresa married Edson Schofield, at St. Francis Church, Utica. They just celebrated their 70th anniversary. She was employed as a quality analyst, at MDS, Herkimer. Surviving family members include her husband, Edson; her daughter, JoAnne Schofield; her son, Scott Schofield; her sister-in-law, Norma Greif; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; one brother; and two sisters. In keeping with Theresa’s wishes, there are no calling hours. Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the family, at Mohawk Cemetery.
