Obituary of Rosemarie Lamanna

HERKIMER – Rosemarie Lamanna, 74, went home to be with our Lord, on the morning of Saturday, April 9, 2022. She passed away peacefully at MVHS, Faxton - St. Luke’s Campus, with the support of her loving family at her side. Rosemarie was born October 25, 1947, in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Michael and Vera (Valente) Lamanna. She was a graduate of Herkimer High School, ‘Class of 1965.’ She later went to be a legal assistant and worked for several law offices in New York and Florida. Rosemarie loved to spend time with family. She was a caring and generous soul who always thought of others before herself. She loved to watch sports and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and the New York Yankees. She especially enjoyed her trips to the Turning Stone Casino. She had an enduring love of animals and truly enjoyed her beautiful dogs through the years. She was a communicant of the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, in Herkimer, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered countless hours of her time to the church. She leaves behind her sisters and brothers-in-law, Carmela and Anthony Trimboli and Patricia and Dom Petucci; as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Clemente; and sister and brother-in-law, Glacinda and Richard Whitney. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., at the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, South Main Street, in Herkimer, New York, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, in Herkimer. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass and the Interment Services. There will be a private time for family prior to the Mass at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 North Washington Street, in Herkimer.
