Obituary of Angelina R. Entwistle

MOHAWK - Mrs. Angelina R. Entwistle, age 91, a longtime Mohawk resident, passed away on Sunday morning, January 23, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, in Utica, with the love and support of her family always at her side. Born in Utica, New York, on September 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Vita (Cofano) DeSantis. She was educated in Utica schools, graduating with Proctor High School, ‘Class of 1948.’ On September 24, 1960, she married Donald J. Entwistle, Sr., in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica. They were married 52 years in a loving, sharing and committed relationship. Don passed away on December 2, 2012. Angie was employed for many years for the City of Utica as their Stenographer. Every Saturday you could find her devoted to Mass, at Blessed Sacrament Church, in Mohawk, where she attended regularly. Her love for her children and grandchildren was steadfast, loyal and unconditional. She derived great joy and affectionate companionship from her family. She took care of all with the same level of care and compassion. She will be sadly missed by her beloved family: her daughters, Vita Klock (Ken), Lisa Hecox (Dale) and Stacey Sementilli (John); her sons, Scott Entwistle, Barry Entwistle, Keith Entwistle (Kritsana) and Donald Entwistle, Jr. (Tammy); her cherished grandchildren, Angela, Krista, Kenny, Kaleigh, Amanda, Zachary, Kristana, Johnny, Sierra and Chase; adored great-grandchildren; In-laws, Robert Entwistle, Shirley Edick and Sandy Marusic; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Don; and siblings, Pat DeSantis, Michael DeSantis, retired Colonel, Joseph DeSantis, Vito Nappi DeSantis, Grace Calandra and Pasqua Lena Camarra. Her Funeral Mass will commence on June 03, 2022, at 10:30 AM from the Blessed Sacrament Church, 54 E. Main St., Mohawk, NY. Procession will then follow to Calvary Cemetery, German Street, Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest.
