I send my most sincere condolences to Ed's family. Some of my most memorable times were with Ed and Eddie Reid and the up state New York guys at deer camp in Southern Ohio. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Will always be grateful to Ed for all he taught my sons while he was teaching in Clinton. He was one of the best teachers they ever had.

I just got a text from my brother, Pete Dunckel, that Ed passed. I can't think of your dad without smiling. I remember shopping at the barn in Frankfort center and then in Barneveld. We bought skis, canoes, kayaks, and a bunch of other stuff. Ed did more that sell outdoor equipment, he taught and encouraged you to get out and use it. Ed meant a lot to the entire Dunckel family, he was a mentor to my brother Pete. He is one of the reasons Pete now lives in Northwestern Montana and spends a lot of time outdoors.

In the 70's Ed introduced whitewater kayaking, wilderness camping, fly fishing, climbing, X-country skiing, telemarking to name a few outdoor skills to my late husband Larry. Mountain Sports was Larry's second home! Ed led an outstanding life and was a gift for all who knew him. My sincere condolences to Edward, Stephanie and Emily's families. ~ Kathy Ten Eyck

Mr. B was one of my most memorable and influential teachers in my early life; he amazingly approached his students as fellow human beings (not children), which enabled his deep engagement with the students in Clinton who had the pleasure to be part of his community. Introduced me to my first "hike" which included a lot of uphill, fallen log hopping and an absolutely beautiful destination. THANK YOU to his family for sharing him with the rest of us. With deep admiration, Margue Hunt (Bellevue Washington USA)

To the entire Bielejec family,
I'm sorry to hear about your dad's passing away. I had him as a health teacher at Clinton in the late 1970's and enjoyed his teaching style. His military experience and slef discipline were well respected by me. May Ed rest in peace.

I remember Mr. Bielejec on my very first day of High School in 1970. He was our homeroom teacher, who had just started at Clinton HS.He "phonetically"spelled out his name on the board to help us learn to pronounce it - he drew a bee-"lay- Mets" ( How DO I remember these things?! ) And when it was time for the morning announcements, he'd say, "Listen up, people !" Anyway, he was a nice fella, and may he rest in peace !

At 58 years of age I still remember a few days of class from a hand full of my teachers. None more that Mr B. Including one where he kicked me in the shins in an effort to teach me something. Not maliciously, just used the tooks he ad readily available. It worked. I remember that lesson to this day. I loved his class. My condolences.
