Obituary of Hollis Guy Bunker, Jr.

LITTLE FALLS – Hollis Guy Bunker, Jr., age 47, of Herkimer, New York, completed his life’s journey on November 11, 2021. He was born in Laconia, New Hampshire, on August 3, 1974 and was the son of the late Hollis Guy Bunker, Sr., and his mom is Bonita L. (Corriveau) Bunker, of Little Falls. Hollis attended schools there, where his love for sports and especially wrestling began. In 1986, the family moved to New York and purchased the Bunker Family Farm. Hollis took pride in being raised on a farm and was thankful for the work ethic he received. He was especially a great help in milking the cows whenever his dad needed him. This love for farming remained with him throughout his life. He was a very hard worker and thoroughly loved to garden. Hollis was proud to be an American and was thankful for the opportunity to serve his country in the United States Army in the 1990’s. He loved politics, always keeping up with current issues and ready to debate. Mostly, Hollis was blessed with a huge heart, loved being with people and especially getting to know them. He completely cherished his daughter. She was his joy. He was also eternally grateful for the wonderful mother she has in Melissa Peet and the chance to co-parent with her. He loved spending time with his family and desired to build a personal relationship with each and everyone of them. With his entrepreneurial spirit, he reached the goal of owning his own business. He also graduated with an associate’s degree from Mater Dei College. Hollis positively impacted all of us and will be forever loved and remembered. Hollis is survived by his cherished daughter, the light of his life, Paige Elizabeth Bunker, age 10; his mother, Bonnie Bunker, of Little Falls; his brother, John Bunker, of Holland Patent and his wife, Rachel; his sisters, Sarah Smith, of Utica, Ellen Lopez, of New York City and her husband, Andres and Carrie Sagatis, of Little Falls and her husband, Jason; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Hollis, Sr.; and other close family members. Final arrangements have been entrusted to his longtime friends at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY (315) 823-2424, Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, Funeral Directors. Funeral Services for Hollis will be held Friday, November 19, 2021, at 10:00 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 317 Gros Boulevard, in Herkimer, NY, followed by a brief celebration of life.
