Obituary of Marion A. Brown

LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Marion A. Brown, age 88, of Douglas Street, Little Falls, New York, passed away on November 6, 2021. Marion was born on March 2, 1933, in Little Falls, NY and she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Homovec) Marosek. Following her graduation from High School, at St. Mary’s Academy, Marion continued her education at Utica School of Commerce. Marion was married to her beloved husband, Robert J. Brown, for 66 years. Marion and Robert first met in 1952 at the Little Falls Diner (Now known as ‘That Little Place on Main’). They were married at St. Mary’s Church, in Little Falls, on June 25, 1955. Marion was employed by Mohawk Data Sciences (MDS), in Herkimer, for 20 years. She later worked at Leeson Electric in Little Falls. In addition to her husband, Robert, Marion is survived by her daughter, Susan and her husband, Kenneth Smith, of Austin, Texas; her sons, Robert Brown, Jr., of Groton Long Point, Connecticut and John “Jack” Brown and his partner, Isabella Stone, of Little Falls; her brother and sister-in-law, David Marosek and his wife, Barbara, of Little Falls; her sister, Sharon Marosek, of West Hartford, Connecticut; and sisters-in-law, Fay Marosek, of Little Falls, Rosemary Brown, of Rochester, New York, Beverly Brown, of Hudson, Ohio, and Lois Oldfield, of Herkimer. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Marosek. Marion’s family wish to express their love and appreciation to her caregiver and great friend, Kelly Clemons, of Oppenheim, New York. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY (315) 823-2424, Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, Funeral Directors. There is a calling hour scheduled for family and friends at the original funeral home on West Monroe Street, on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 10AM until 11AM. A Catholic funeral prayer service will take place at the funeral home, at 11AM, on Thursday morning, with Fr. Brian Slezak, officiating. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, will take place at the convenience of the family. A reception for family and friends will take place after the funeral home service, at Ruggerio’s Restaurant, in Little Falls.
