Obituary of Lori Lee Siver

ILION – Our beloved Lori Lee Siver, age 65, passed away suddenly at her home in Ilion on Saturday morning, July 10, 2021. She was born February 14, 1956, in Herkimer, New York, daughter of Mary (Luppino) Sherrick and the late Lawrence Siver. She was a graduate of Mohawk schools. She at one time worked with Met Life in Oriskany, New York and was lastly the director of recreation for the Herkimer Recreation Department. Lori was an amazing writer, thinker, dreamer and fixer. She loved nature. Her best times were spent in the Adirondacks, Piseco Lake and Cape Cod. We will dearly miss her caring heart and beautiful smile. She is survived by her loving family: her mother, Mary, of Ilion; her sisters, Cynthia DeVaul, of Herkimer and Lisa Howard and her husband, Leandre, of Henderson, Nevada; as well as her nieces and nephews that she deeply cared for as if her own children, Michael DeVaul, Melissa DeVaul, Maxwell Howard and Mason Leandre; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence; her stepfather, Fred Sherrick; and her brother- in-law, Steven Howard. A very private family memorial will be held at the convenience of the family, at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, New York, under the direction of Funeral Directors Harry J.
