Obituary of Anthony J. Visconti, Sr.

LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Anthony J. Visconti, Sr. devoted father, Pop and friend, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the age of 76.

Anthony was born on September 7, 1941, in Little Falls, son of the late John and Libby (DeMarco) Visconti.  He was a graduate of Little Falls High School.  Anthony was last employed as a shipping supervisor with Burrows Paper Corporation in Little Falls, where he worked for over 30 years.  Mr. Visconti was a member of the Holy Family Parish.

Anthony was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Syracuse Orange.  He has his own personalized brick in the walkway of Fenway Park as he loved attending Red Sox games.  As a youth, he was a member of the first ever Little Falls Little League baseball team.  He was extremely proud of his background and often celebrated his Italian heritage with his closest friends, the “South Side Sons”.  Anthony enjoyed having coffee at Stewart’s with friends but, most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved sons Anthony, Jr. and wife Diana of Little Falls, NY, Robert and wife Michelle of Painted Post, NY, John and wife Rebecca of Londonderry, NH, his sister Rose Marie Palmieri and brother-in-law Joseph Palmieri, his adored grandchildren Joshua (Katie), Gabriella, Gianna, Vincent, Nicholas, Matthew, and Mason Visconti and great-grandchildren, Eliana, Avery, Noah and Coraline Visconti as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 13 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls. A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, town of Herkimer.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be considered to Arc Herkimer, 350 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY 13350.

Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com.
