Obituary of Frankie L. "Frank" Crossett

 

ILION – Frankie “Frank” L. Crossett, age 72, of W. Montgomery St., Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica.

 

He was born on January 7, 1945, in Ilion, the son of Louis and Mabel (Evans) Crossett and graduated from Ilion Central High School in 1964.  Frank was employed at the Village of Ilion for over 26 years and retired about 2007.  Frank was a member of the Ilion Elks Lodge #1444 and received the “Elk of the Year” award.  Mr. Crossett was also a former member of the Ilion Moose Lodge.  He was a former umpire for M.V. Umpire Assoc.  Frank enjoyed golfing and going to football and baseball games.

 

Surviving family members include his brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Karen Crossett, of Herkimer; two nieces, Heidi Hardy and Holli Long, both of Chittenango, NY; his aunt, Millie Gay, of Middleville; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and many cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents; and his aunt, Florence Monroe.

 

In keeping with Frank’s wishes, there are no scheduled calling hours or funeral services.
